About the initiative
MineralizedWater.org is an independent, educational platform working to define and promote a credible, science-based category for intelligently remineralized water.
Why we exist
A great deal of bottled and purified water is stripped of beneficial minerals, yet there is no shared, transparent way to describe how well a water is mineralized. We want to change that — positively. Our aim is to build a credible category and a clear rating, not to criticize any brand.
What we believe
- Independence. We are not owned by, and do not promote, any single producer.
- Transparency. The framework, its thresholds, and its reasoning are published openly.
- Science first. Our definitions and ranges are developed and reviewed with experts.
- International scope. The standard is intended to be useful across markets and regulators.
- Voluntary and positive. We list products that choose to meet the standard; we do not rank or call out those that do not.
Status
The initiative is in its early, open-development phase. The domain is secured, the rating framework has been drafted, and our terminology, technical ranges, and scientific framework are being developed with subject-matter experts. The five-star thresholds are a working draft pending advisory review.
Guided by independent experts.
The standard is shaped by an advisory group spanning research, health, and laboratory practice. Membership is expanding — expertise areas are shown below, with named members to be announced as they are confirmed.
Water & mineral science
Specialists in water chemistry, remineralization, and mineral profiles.
Hydration & health
Researchers and hydration experts on the role of minerals in drinking water.
Laboratories & testing
Accredited labs to ground thresholds in reliable, reproducible measurement.
Standards & terminology
Advisors helping align definitions with existing standards and regulation.
Join the advisory group.
If you are a researcher, hydration expert, laboratory, or water and mineral specialist, we would value your input as we refine the standard.
